Our January 7th Speaker Program will offer an opportunity to learn about the use of improvisation for insight, humor, creative expression and healing. Be prepared to laugh, shout, clap and slap stick if you like along with our inspired in-the-moment Peace Nouvella Players™. All are invited to further experience the use of improvisation as an art and healing art in our follow-up workshop on the January 17 th. Come join in the fun and spontaneous storytelling aspect of our lives with your ability to create molehills out of mountains and turn ticklish situations into turn-around fair play. Be open to discover your funny bone and co-creative mind allowed to freely express itself in the moment.
Our Peace Nouvella™ improvisation presentation will be lead by Jon Ulrich, actor and improvisational performer assisted by AHAA President Alice Yeager as developer of the Peace Nouvella Players™ ensemble. Jon has performed in small theater productions of The Laramie Project, Hello Dolly, Oklahoma! and Ten Little Indians and performed improvisational comedy with the Baltimore Improv Group. He will assist us with a presentation on how to use improvisation to identify areas ripe for healing in your life through spontaneous happiness. What we often laugh about can also be a reflection of our deepest longings. As we crave relief from the news of the day we can become the insight for sore eyes when we let our creative expression guide the way. Audience participation is welcome including cheers, laughter and hand clapping.
