Whether new to the study or A Course in Miracles, or already part of our on-going AHAA-ACIM study group (see details below under our monthly programs), you are invited to join other ACIM students at a weekend experience with A Course in Miracles in Washington, D.C. This event is sponsored by the Miracle Distribution Center (MDC), organized by Beverly Hutchinson McNeff and the distribution center staff.  The Course offers us a way “to be in the world but not of it.” It is a gentle path to the experience of peace wherever we might find ourselves. The Course offers us a path to do just that.

SPEAKERS PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  Traditional western medicine has often been unable to help patients with pain despite our vast technology and numerous medications.  Far too many patients continue to live without improvement in their conditions.  In fact, there is often a slow deterioration in their conditions that leads  to depression, more pain, and a hopelessness that they will never heal.  As a physical therapist, Jerome designed criteria for three case studies in 2006-07 to measure the effect  of BHS on decreasing pain and increasing functional mobility.  During this two hour presentation and discussion, Jerome will demonstrate how using Brennan Healing Science on three different patients, with different diagnoses, had an immediate effect on decreasing the patients' pain and increasing their functional mobility.  Jerome is a current practicing physical therapist at two hospitals in the area.  His private practice in Arnold and Pasadena, Maryland, combines Energy Medicine Healing and Physical Therapy.  He also performs long distance healings on clients throughout the United States and Canada.  Visit his website at www.healingthesacredwound.com to learn more about Jerome and his services.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: There will be a presentation of the five main character structures and the major aspects of the personality; the physical and energetic system; and interpersonal relations that are characteristics within each character structure. The group will be led through a self examination to identify their primary character structure. This exercise can begin the process of identifying one’s longstanding patterns which prevents healing from taking place in an individual. This process begins the transformational work that allows healthy change to occur in each of us as we discover or re-discover our unique gifts.

Author Thomas Daniel Nehrer

 

DESCRIPTION  

Author and speaker Tom Nehrer will explore with us the teachings of ancient and modern mystics, sages, philosophers and scientists. Religions, spiritual disciplines and healing techniques will be compared to life’s real functionality. This comparison also includes illusions, commonly presented as truth. Always questioning cultural truths, Tom Nehrer left chemical engineering to travel widely while young. A mystical experience while traveling in Europe prompted a long inner journey and outward examination of life, ultimately yielding a Clear Awareness of life’s flow.  With an intimate, personal, often humorous touch, his book The Essence of Reality communicates the inner causality of real events: how each individual invariably creates patterns in health, success and relationships in one's life, often realizing negation and pain where fulfillment should be.  Tom is also a retired software developer/consultant who brings a broad perspective to what he writes and speaks about. April 21 (continued discussion from March's program) 

We will explore a variety of healing arts practices once considered not part of today's medicine that are now incorporated into mainstream medicine. Discussion will include the latest statistics reported by the National Institute of Health's Complementary and Alternative Medicine Division (NIH/CAM) that compares the use of these practices in both adults and children. NIH/CAM's new Ask/Tell program encourages greater dialogue between doctor's and patients.  Full information packets on these programs and others are available for those attending our discussion this month.

AHAA sponsors regional and international educational programs.
