SPEAKER Ann Bracken M. ED., CPT (certified in poetry therapy)
TITLE Write for Your Life© Journaling Program
DESCRIPTION Ann Bracken, educator, writer, and poetry therapist will share with us ways to use the transformative power of the arts for successful change! Learn fresh ways to use the power and magic that come from writing and apply them to your own life. Tap into the wisdom source you so readily offer to others and use it for yourself. Her program Write for Your Life© offers a multi-faceted approach that combines tried-and true journaling activities with some improv and poetry to help you uncover and rewrite parts of your story that are recurring trouble-spots. As an expressive arts consultant and writer, Ann will guide us through several exercises using specific journaling tools. Some of the benefits people experience from journaling include: breaking through recurring blocks, accessing deeper layers of meaning, analyzing troubling situation from multiple perspectives, and achieving goals more quickly and effortlessly. Ann owns The Possibility Project, an expressive arts consulting practice that uses the arts (journaling, poetry, visual art, and improv) for helping people move from ideas to action and achieve positive results. For more information visit her website at www.possibilityproject.com. She invites any email inquiries in advance of her presentation at anniebluepoet@comcast.net or call her at 888-266-3875.

TOPIC: Earth Cinema Circle
With actor Ed Begley Jr. as its spokesperson, the Earth Cinema Circle (ECC) is the only DVD film club exclusively devoted to expanding environmental consciousness and is doing so in a way that entertains, informs, and sometimes inspires. Recent films have ranged from a 26-minute lesson in eco-literacy by David Suzuki to the life-cycle of to-go coffee cups and why corn truly is "king." Join us for a discussion of the programs produced by the Earth Cinema Circle. Their programs honor the commitment of many to save our natural wildlands and wildlife, along with the quality of our air, water and planetary survival of the millions of species of plants, animals and our own human species.
