Special Event Announcement

We are excited to announce that our special Peace NouvellaPresentation on Saturday June 21, 2008, 7:00-9:30pm at St. Johns College, Key Auditorium, Annapolis, Maryland is now included in the Annapolis Alive! 300 year celebrations. Attached is our flyer to share with others on your email lists about our special event.

This multi-faceted educational entertainment event includes a presentation about The Science of Peace documentary being produced and hosted by actor, director and producer LeVar Burton. Excerpts from the documentary and a pre-recorded video interview with LeVar Burton are planned as part of the event. An original play titled A Capital Idea has been written for the event by Alice Yeager as debut performance of the Peace Nouvella Players. The theme of the play offers a parallel between the history of Annapolis during the time of the Treaty of Peace in 1783 that officially ended the American Revolutionary War and a modern day peaceful revolution in consciousness. Special guests including representatives from the World Peace Prayer Society will be participating in the Inner Peace Treaty 10th Anniversary ratification ceremony. The program also includes original music including works composed by guitarist Rob Levit inspired by A Course in Miracles.

THE BODY MESSENGER - Introductory Workshop

INSTRUCTORS Alice Yeager, MFA and Faith Hagerty, MPT, cert. MDT, CSCS

DATE/TIME Saturday, May 31, 2008, 9:300am- 1:00pm

LOCATION Peace Point, Edgewater, MD 21037 (Email or call for directions)

COST $60 REGISTRATION Call (410) 956-1117

DESCRIPTION: In this workshop the body is seen as a means of communication that can express health as well-being or unhealthiness as suffering. As a means of communication, the body can convey the underlying cause of a physical issue as "dis-ease" or other unhealthy conditions. The topics covered include physically based anatomical maps as well as subtle energy maps in relationship to our five senses as communication channels. When there is interference to this communication it can lead to unhealthy conditions as emotional and physical pain, sickness, accidents, and an increased rate in the aging process. When these communication channels are restored to full functioning we experience greater wellness as physical health and emotional well-being.

AHAA'S INTERNATIONAL PEACEBUILDING PROGRAM

The American Healing Arts Alliance Inc. sponsors regional and international educational programs. Our international programs include the Inner Peace Treaty and Peace Pulse expanding thought projects as part of a comprehensive combined healing arts and creative arts program called Peace Nouvella. We encourage individuals and groups to actively participate in our educational programs to co-create greater inner and outer peace in the world. We invite you to visit our website to initially participate by offering your meditative thoughts and prayers for inner peace and adding your ratifying name and signature to the Inner Peace Treatyprintable version.

Cast and Stage Crew: We are seeking volunteers to help with this event as both crew and cast as part of our Peace Nouvella Players theater group cast of performers. Our first original theater production written for this event is called A Capital Idea by AHAA President, Alice Yeager. The cast for this performance includes performers of all ages. The development of our ensemble and productions will be on-going not just for this event as our initial debut. Our goal is to create a troupe of artists, musicians and stage performers comprised of both adults and young people toward the goal of presenting our inspirational educational programs at a variety of venues including theaters, schools, organizations and events. Please call AHAA at (410) 956-0055 if you are interested in participating in any way.
